Where Do You Start, When Choosing Where to Live in the Fargo Moorhead Area.

We were running out of space in our 1210 sq ft rambler in our North Fargo home and wanted something bigger.  The question was, where do you start?

We started looking for open houses last September knowing that our family would soon grow from 4 to 5.  My husband and I are very independent and wanted to try this all without a realtor.  We found some houses that would fit our family, but they all needed so many updates we began to wonder was it worth it?

We then turned to the building option.  We researched many builders and looked at all the options available that would fit our budget.  A friend of mine introduced us to Chris Bachmeier from Bachmeier Custom Homes.  He was just what we were looking for. Someone that was knowledgeable, upfront, and was able to satisfy the options we wanted in a house.  We decided we wanted to build in the South Moorhead area.  Chris went to work for us and found a nice, quiet cul-de-sac located in Horizon Shores in the Kendall’s 1st addition.  My husband absolutely loved the idea, since the Meadow’s Golf Course, would be our backyard.  We finally decided this was the place for us to move our family!  We signed the construction agreement and were ready to start the building process.

Oh, by the way, the picture is of our land before we start to build.  I hope you will follow us along on our journey of building this house and making it our home.
