United Way School Supply Drive Underway In The Fargo Moorhead Area

school suppliesThe United Way of Cass-Clay’s school supply drive starts tomorrow, July 15th, and your help is needed.  This drive helps supply new school supplies to children who would otherwise be without them, if not for the help of so many.  School supplies are collected and then sorted and filled in to new backpacks that are given to the kids in early August, just in time for school to start.  This year the goal is to equip more than 4,500 students with brand new school supplies and backpacks and your help is needed to do that.

Think back to your first day of school each year and the new crayons, colored folders and new lunchbox you arrived at school with.  You’ll realize that the pride and excitement you had carrying those items in to your classroom somehow made the day more bareable.  With the sales that have already started, and will continue for the coming month, at stores like Walmart and Target, you have an opportunity to really brighten a child’s day!  And, what a great lesson to teach your own child when you bring them along to purchase items and show them how easy it is to help another child succeed in school!
