Target Field Home Opener On April 12 – MN Twins vs Boston Red Sox

fmtwinsstadiumreplacementThe Minnesota Twins play the Boston Red Sox on April 12, 2010, at 3:10 p.m. at Target Field for their home opener.  Tickets for that game have been sold out.  For the 2010 season, 2.6 million tickets have been sold.  Other games have tickets available but make your plans now for a road trip before they are sold out!

This state of the art stadium is a must see.  It is every stadium you have seen combined into one.

MN Twins schedule for 2010.

A little closer to home is a food manufacturer based in Perham, MN, known as Barrel O’Fun and Kenny’s Candies (KLN) that is teaming up with the Twins to provide chips and licorice at Target Field.  The company has a 3-year contract to be the distributor of the Minnesota Twins’ official potato chips and licorice.  Barrel O’Fun chips will be included in the famous Dome Dog package.

Get some friends together and plan a trip to the new Target Field to take in a MN Twins baseball game.

A bunch of us are going from Fargo for the May 8th game against Baltimore. Should be a good time.

Bill, I don’t know how you are going to travel to and from the game but you might want to take in the new light rail they have in Minneapolis. It makes it a lot easier to park somewhere and go to an event on that. Just a suggestion.

I was at the Twins vs Orioles game on Thursday night and I would suggest the Murray’s Steak Sandwich with chips of course!

I was also at the Thursday Orioles game – and would also suggest the Murray’s Steak sandwich. Worth the $10! As for getting to the new Stadium – I live downtown so we just walked – but depending on when you are going to see the game, you can park at the Mall of America (free parking) and take the light rail right to the door of the Stadium. You don’t even have to worry about which train you take since all trains coming from the Mall go to the stadium (via downtown). The cost of the light rail is only a couple bucks….and saves you the headache of fighting traffic the closer you get to the city during a game.
