Spuds punch out a 2-1 Victory Over Cretin-Derham Hall
Moorhead advances to AA State championship Game
It was a defensive battle but the Moorhead Spuds continued to get it done Friday night at the Xcel Energy Center. The Spuds played and did what they had to do to come out with win. They are on their way to the MN AA State Championship Game to take on Eden Prairie tonight at 8PM. Braden Rahman scored first for Moorhead with a great goal on a feed from Alex Altenbernd and Jordan Doschadis. Cretin-Derham Hall tied it up at 13:35 of the second period. Jordon Doschadis got the second and final goal with some fine stick handling to put the puck into the net. Let’s hope the Spuds can keep up their great defense tonight and get the puck in the net a few more times. This will be the 7th trip for the Spuds to the Minnesota State Championship game.
Tickets for Moorhead High School’s boys hockey game today – the Class 2A championship – will be available for purchase at 11 a.m. today at the RiverCentre on Kellogg Street.

I was a great time at the game on Friday. I can’t wait until tonight. I know we are going to make it happen tonight and come home with the hardware. We have came a long way this year and tonight we will have a great finish.
GO SPUDS!!!!!!!!!!
