Quick and Easy Recipe for Chocolate Chip Caramel Bars
If you’re looking for a quick and simple recipe, this is the one for you! These bars are so easy to make and you only need 5 ingredients. This is a modified version of a bakery bake-off contest recipe that I found years ago.
1 box Betty Crocker butter pecan cake mix 1/2 cup butter or magarine, softened 1 egg 1 jar caramel topping – I buy the Smuckers kind in the squeeze bottle; that way you can use as much or as little as you want 1 cup chocolate chipsPreheat oven to 350 degrees. Stir the dry cake mix, butter and egg together, in a large bowl, using a fork. Press 1/2 of the mixture in bottom of ungreased 9X13 rectangular pan. Bake 10 minutes. Pour caramel over crust and sprinkle chocolate chips on top of that. Sprinkle remaining cake mix mixture on top of that. Bake 20-25 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool for about an hour and enjoy! Store covered.
Try these and let me know if you enjoy them as much as my family does!
* If you’re wanting to try a new recipe for a pot roast, try this one and let me know what you think. I used an inexpensive white wine and it seemed to do the trick because this was full of flavor and sooooo delicious!
