Looking for places to ring in 2010 in the Fargo-Moorhead area? Look no further. I have done the research for you. I am amazed at the variety of exciting events to welcome the new year. I might have to break out of my tradition of staying home and attend some of these events.

Like the 80’s? Attend the New Year’s Bash at The Venue. The Venue is offering an all-inclusive night, which is great for the pocketbook! Included in the ticket price of $59/single or $99/pair are drinks, appetizers, champagne, and the 80’s tribute band, HAIRBALL. Where else can you see Guns ‘n Roses, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Ozzy Osbourne, AC/DC, and Poison all at the same place? Like Broadway? Check out the New Year’s Eve Musical Review on December 31^st or January 1^st at the Fargo-Moorhead Community Theater. Currently there isn’t a lot of information about this event, but you can contact FMCT, 235-6778.

JT Cigarro’s SKYY Bar Ultra Lounge is now selling tickets to their New Year’s Eve Bash. $60/person or $100/couple will get you free beverages all evening, hors d’oeuvres, champagne, gift bag, and entertainment by The Arthurs. This is a formal attire event and you must have a ticket to enter. There are only 100 tickets available so act fast.

Looking to laugh? Check out Courtney’s Comedy Club in Moorhead for their New Year’s Eve Extravaganza. Jason James, Fred Bevil, Jamey Stone, Benny Quash, Darrin Meyer, and Dave Ing will be performing. Call 287-7100 for ticket information.

Looking for a quiet night? Basie’s Restaurant and Lounge at the Ramada Inn has a dinner special for $99/couple. The special runs from 5:00 – 10:00 and includes soup or salad, steak, bottle of wine or champagne, plus sides. Call 281-7105 for reservations.
