Moorhead Spuds First Football Home Game at the Jim Gotta Stadium

Friday Nights and Football
If you are like me, that brisk cool air blowing outside means one thing…. It‘s time for high school football. The boys of fall are at it again and this Friday night, September 10th, the Moorhead Spuds will have something extra special for you. The City of Moorhead and Moorhead Public Schools will celebrate the ten-year anniversary of the completion of Jim Gotta Stadium on Friday night at 7:00 as the Moorhead Spuds play host to visiting Rocori. They will recognize the major contributors of the stadium which includes the Pitsenbarger Family, R.D. Offutt, City of Moorhead, and Moorhead Public Schools. Spud Boosters will sponsor a tailgating party inside the stadium fences starting at 5:30.
This night will also mark a couple of other “first times” for the City of Moorhead. The North Dakota State University marching band will perform for the first time at a Spud event as it prepares to entertain the crowd at half time. Also, Friday will mark the first home game for new Spud’s Head Football Coach Kevin Feeney. I am sure there will be a large crowd out this Friday to celebrate the stadium and support the Spuds Football Team. Come out and join the fun. Go Spuds!
