Make A Difference Monday- 4 Luv Of Dog Rescue
Usually this column is reserved for local fundraisers/benefits for humans who are struggling through an illness or disease. This weeks article is a little different. I’m writing to let you know about a wonderful local organization that is committed to rescuing and finding homes for those dogs. They are a non-profit organization which means that all of their funding comes from donations from people like you and I.
A Grand Opening celebration will be held this coming Saturday, July 28th from 2p-5p at their new Moorhead facility, located at 1523 23rd St. S. in Moorhead. In addition to getting to meet with the volunteers who give countless hours to this organization, you’ll be able to visit with some of the dogs who are currently looking to be adopted or hoping to find a foster home. A supply drive will take place as well, with donations being accepted during the celebration, as well as at any other time. Items needed right now include: leashes, tennis balls, rawhides, dog treats, nylabones, hand soap, hand sanitizer, bleach, bottled water, and other items as well.
You can take a look at their website and learn more about what you can do to help them out. They have an option to donate money to their organization and I’m realizing what a difference we could make if everyone who reads this article (who obviously cares about the welfare of our 4 legged friends) were to donate $1 …… or $5. WOW! That would be great to be a part of that! I’ve started by donating via PayPal (love that option)…… won’t you follow me?!
