This is the fourth time Fargo has been chosen to host the American Legion Baseball World Series.  It is the first time the event will be played at Newman Outdoor Field.  In previous years when Fargo has hosted (1983, 1992, and 1995) it was played at Jack Williams stadium.

The dates of the event are August 14-18, 2009.
