Emergen-C As Mail Samples – Safe or Not Safe?

Submitted by on May 7, 2010 – 5:20 pm3 Comments

fmemergencToday I received 4 different flavors of Emergen-C in the mail as samples; tropical, super orange, lemon lime, and cranberry – not that the flavors have anything to do with it.  I am trying to figure out if I should use these things or not.  Anytime I have ever received anything edible in the mail I have thrown it out. Maybe this caught my eye because I’m so tired I can’t even keep my eyes open – and then again I might be exaggerating a little – and the packages said “health and energy booster.”

Naturally, I have gone to the Internet to see what I can find out about these little packets.  It shows they also have Emergen-C Alert! – Emergen-C Immune+ – Emergen-C 1000 Shot – Emergen-C Multi-Vitamin Plus – Emergen-C Joint Health – Emergen-C – Emergen-C Heart Health – Emergen-C Vitamin D & Calcium – Emergen-C MSM.  There may be more products but this is what I have found so far.

My whole point of all of this is I am wondering if this stuff is safe?  I have never taken one of those energy drink shots that I see on all the checkout counters that they sell mostly at the convenient stores, although I have wanted to at times.  I almost did once, but I felt embarrassed that people would think I was actually driving a car and needed something to keep me awake to get home.  Strange but true!

Here’s another little tidbit that just hit me – when you say Emergen-C you are saying emergency!  That’s pretty good marketing if I must say so myself.

I’m going to do some more research and ask around and see what I can find out.  Anything anyone can offer on this subject would be great also.
