If you live in the Fargo-Moorhead area, you will soon see cherries popping up at your local Hornbacher’s grocery stores in town.  Starting Wednesday, July 8th, through Tuesday, July 14th, be on the lookout for this tasty, summer treat. 

This wonderful fundraiser is sponsored by the FM Cosmopolitan Club, with proceeds from the sales of cherries, and qualifying cherry products, benefitting the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center and the YWCA of Cass Clay.

This event. in its 27th year, will be held at all six Hornbacher’s locations in Fargo-Moorhead.  In 1982, the F-M Cosmopolitan Club started Cherries for Charity and, several years later, the event took on its present-day look with Hornbacher’s support. To date, Cherries for Charity has raised over $210,000 for the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center and the YWCA Cass Clay – equivalent to over one million pounds of cherries.
