A “Must-Have” Home Improvement Tool

I, like many of you, am always looking for a tool that will make my home improvement jobs easier and more professional looking.  I was given such a tool last Christmas that dramatically improved my efficiency of hanging drywall and the appearance it had after it was hung.

This product is called the Goldblatt Bladerunner.  It works great.  It looks kind of like an electric trimmer they would use in a barbershop.  The two sides are held together by magnets that release when it is cutting the Sheetrock.  The Bladerunner cuts both sides of the drywall at the same time, and leaves nice, clean edges of the board.  I no longer have to cut one side and then flip a large clumsy sheet over to cut the other side, only to break off a corner or pull a muscle in my back.  I can get twice as much done, in half the time. (I sound like a commercial.)  The Bladerunner easily cuts both vertical or horizontal cuts.   I believe the Bladerunner is the fast and safe way to cut drywall because you cut away from your body, with little effort, and your hands are no wear near the blade.

Like any good tool, the Blade Runner is not cheap.  I have seen it online for $70.00 (http://www.drywallzone.com), and I would say it is worth every penny.  If you think about it, how much is your time worth?  How much is your safety worth?  How much is buying extra sheet rock of your “slip ups” worth?  This tool is certainly a “must-have” for anyone doing a large or small drywall product.  I asked my Sister in Law where they found this tool, since I got it as a Christmas present, they would only tell me that they got it at Ace in Moorhead. Try it…you will like it.
